Movin' Up!!!!

Movin’ Up
Breeze Block and Erhart Celebrate Their New Location
Friday Dec 5, 1847 E Burnside

Its official, the two most formidable street business women in the city will be teaming up with a new retail location on 19th and Burnside. Page Prendergast’s Breeze Block Gallery will be moving from their current Alberta location to a larger, more central, and hipper location. In keeping with its funky street feel, the gallery is cleverly located in an alley just off Burnside in the same building that houses Queen Bee Creations, known as the 1847 Building. Breeze Block will add an essential element to the growing popularity of the East Burnside Gallery Strip, if not only for the art supplies and DIY goods they offer.

Beyond the new radical location, the Breeze Block will up the ante of distinct galleries in the city and share space with local street wear design house Erhart. Gallery attendees can view art in all states, finished on the wall and being created in real time. Erhart will use the space for both a studio and a small retail space. Fans can come to the Breeze Block to purchase one-offs and samples created by Portland’s most colorful streetwear designer.

The Movin’ Up opening celebration will take place Friday, December 5th, 6-10 pm. Breeze Block will have a group show including artists Jason Graham, Steve Mathews, Garrett Price, Raskoe, Tiago de Jerk, Stephen Williams, and Jason Vivona. The event will be sponsored by New Deal Vodka, so bring your ID’s. Erhart will offer 20% off anything on the rack, including pieces recently seen at Explode La Mode. Breeze Block will offer 10% off on select items and the art show will be cash and carry for holiday gifts.
